The name's Swiggett. Chelsea Swiggett. That's kind of an obligatory About Me opening, right? I don't even really like James Bond but I like the voice people say that in. So just imagine a really deep, dramatic voice. Except not manly. Because I'm a female. Look, you're learning more about me by the second, aren't you?
Coffee and Cliffhangers is a place where I talk about books - mostly YA - writing, coffee, and more. Coffee and Cliffhangers used to be titled The Page Flipper (from 2007 up to 2011, yikes), so if you typed in "thepageflipper.blogspot.com" and found yourself here, that's why. The name change was needed because of an interesting domain error, but it fits because of the IV of coffee hooked into my arm and also because I love a good cliffhanger. Leaves some room for imagination, you know? And there's plenty of that, in excess, up in that crazed brain of mine.
I have a book (released August 2010) called Rae - part of the Louder than Words series published by HCI. It's about being a teen with anxiety, among other things. There are five other books in the series, all written by teens and all true stories, created and edited by the fabulously golden Deborah Reber.
I'm also working on a fiction novel right now that I'm loving exploring. If anything develops, I'll have a nice reason to edit this About Me page.
